An excellent editing log - the final shot is nicely ambiguous - an explicit reference to The French Lieutenant's Woman could be a fade of a loong shot of the girl standing at the end of the cob, if you ahve such a shot thus suggesting he is haunted by her image....or, bet to think about this when edit well in progress....the novel Persuasion as false ending whilst The French Lieutenant's Woman has 2 endings!!! Worth a thought...
